After successfully predicting the 2016 Election results, adult site viewers again correctly guess award recipients at the 59th Grammy Awards
The recording academy has spoken, and if we didn’t know any better we’d say RedTube viewers the have power to see into the future– or they know a lot of people in a lot of high places. Regardless of how, our viewers came through (again) on their predictions. Just like when they predicted Donald Trump would win the US election (and we all know how that turned out) RedTube viewers also predicted that Adele would sweep the floor clean at the GRAMMYs, and that is just what she did. Here’s how things went down.
After her tribute to George Michael, Adele walked up on stage to accept her first award of the night for Song of the Year, just as 34% of our viewers had predicted she would. She also grabbed Record of the Year and Album of the Year- although she might have preferred for Beyoncé to leave with this one, breaking the award in two after her acceptance speech to award Queen Bey with the one half. Seems to be a trend here, first Kanye, now Adele…what does this woman have to do to win Best Album?! Later on Adele also walked away with the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance, which was also predicted by our viewers, 35% of them to be exact.
Although our viewers weren’t super in sync when it came to the award for Best New Artist, 67% had their money on The Chainsmokers…their second bet was for Chance the Rapper who took it home last night.
Next we asked if our viewers thought Adele would also leave with a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, and once again they hit the nail on head. Her album “25” took home the gold in that category.
Best Rock album went to Tell Me I’m Pretty which our viewers certainly didn’t see coming. Only fair, if they voted for Adele to win all the other awards, rock probably isn’t their favorite genre of music.
Our viewers know their David Bowie, though. As predicted by 42% of RedTube users, the award for Best Alternative Music was accepted by the Recording Academy on behalf of the late David Bowie for his album “Blackstar”.
The last award we asked our viewers to predict was for “Best Rap/Sung Performance” and their predictions were right! Drake walked away with the Grammy for this thanks to his summer hit “Hotline Bling”.
